About Barbara J Carter

I’m an artist.

I paint brightly colored paintings in my own extremely unique style which is somewhat similar to pointillism (but isn’t strict pointillism).

I live in Los Angeles, California.

If you want to know more (a LOT more!) read my full bio on my web site.

I recently purchased three watercolors by Frank Taira, one of which is remarkably similiar to the one you found to be a showstopper at LA Art. Mine is about 2 feet wide and is somewhat less abstract but achieves the same effect of colors that dance in great harmony together. I know my endorphins are flowing whenever I view it! I have met the artist on several occasions. His life story is extraordinary and he has endured many tragedies, yet even living alone now at 94, his eyes are like a window into a soul that, nevertheless, dances in harmony. He is an amazing and inspiring human being! I was thrilled to read your comments and see this work for the first time. Thank you!

I am a machine embroiderer doing some painting research for my next Cit & Guild course staring in a couple of weeks and I found your site while searching for info on mixing acrylic colours. Your site gave me what I needed to know plus alot more.

I can now go home this evening and mix my colours and paint to my hearts content.
