Go See Some Art

If you’re in Los Angeles this weekend, you should go see some art.

Specifically, the Los Angeles Art Show is on this weekend (Jan 23-25, 2009) and I trust it will be worth seeing. At least, I found last year’s show worthwhile, and this year it’s supposed to be bigger (so, one hopes, it’ll be just as good but there will be more of it).

I will not have any work in the show. This is a big expensive galleries-only extravaganza. Kind of like a trade show. Individual artists don’t generally show at these things, just art galleries and related businesses. But if you go on Saturday, when I’m planning to go, you might bump into me in the aisles.

If you go here, you can print out an online coupon that gives you $5 off the $20 admission fee. I don’t know how much parking will cost (it’s in a new location this year) but I doubt it’ll be free, so carpool if you can.
