Love the “Windswept” painting. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, and have been looking for just the right image of a windswept tree, to use as a tool in my practice. Yours is the perfect one for what I am am looking to do- is there any way I could get a print of this? (I understand the original has been sold?) Just a beautiful, evocative painting… Thanks! – MBG

Hi Terry, thank you for the suggestions! We’ll definitely check out those sources. We had lots of recommendations, but one person’s “perfect” chile relleno is another’s “meh,” you know? We definitely need to go back and try more restaurants! Good thing the hunt is half the fun.

nice post. next time you’re in town, check out the Santa Fe Reporter list of “Bests”. They show some of the most popular restaurants from local voters. They also put out an annual Dining Guide which is quite helpful.

Tomasitas, Cowgirl, The Shed are some good choices on the low end.

Pink Adobe, The Compound and Cafe-Cafe are a bit more upscale but superb.

I’d mention some others, but we DO like to keep a few secrets.

Wow … if I had a little more freedom and a little less planned I’d take a flight down just to experience the fair again so many years later.

I’m not a farmer or a 4H alumni, but I love going to a good county fair just to see the animals. For years my favorite summer trip was to the Jackson County fair in southern Indiana because the animals there are just awesome. Huge Belgian draft horses and an amazing variety of sheep and goats and wildly-plumed chickens and a hog barn full of the most enormous creatures this side of the hippo habitat at the zoo. Thanks for sharing your fair w/us. Love that little “king of the hill” goat.
